Ponorogo city, klikmadiun.com — A married couple from Dukuh Munggur, Munggung Village, Pulung Tehsil Rt.3 / Rw.1, Ponorogo Regency, Ratemi (72) and Tarikun (76), have sought help from PMI activists, Allena and Yuni, to search for their daughter, Taryuni, who has been out of contact since the year 2000.

Ratemi, who has been suffering from a stroke for 13 years, has recently often felt as though she hears her long-lost daughter calling her. Her longing has grown deeper and more painful over time.

“She left on good terms, Miss. She also said her farewells properly to the family. During the first year, she often sent money through BNI and made calls from public phone stalls. Lately, her mother often hears her voice calling, and she has fallen and stumbled several times because of it,” said Tarikun, her father.

When Allena and Yuni’s team visited their home, an emotional atmosphere immediately filled the house. Ratemi couldn’t hold back her tears. She wept with hope, pleading with Miss Allena to bring good news about her daughter.

“I miss my daughter so much. Please, Miss… please help me find her,” sobbed Ratemi.

Taryuni was known to have left for Taiwan in 1999 through an official recruitment agency (PJTKI) in Jakarta, with the full consent of her husband and family. There were no conflicts or issues when she departed.

This was also confirmed by her husband, Parsun. He stated that their marriage had always been fine, with no arguments or problems. Parsun admitted his confusion about why his wife had never contacted the family.

“I don’t understand either. We never had any problems. I beg Miss Yuni and Miss Allena, please help me find my wife,” Parsun said emotionally.

The last news the family received was in 2020, when Taryuni reportedly sent a letter home. However, according to Taryuni’s eldest child, the letter was never delivered as it was allegedly lost by the village head’s staff.

“She once sent a letter, Miss, but it was reportedly lost by our village officer. So, we never got to read it,” the child revealed.

Additional information was shared by Taryuni’s younger sibling, stating that when Taryuni left for Taiwan, she used single status in her documents, even though she was already married at the time.

Taryuni is the eldest of four siblings. Until now, the family had never made a serious effort to search for her, and only now are they pursuing it through the help of PMI activists.(klik-2)
